I have enjoyed the
company of animals from an early age. For 13 years I was an active volunteer at
the Seal Beach Animal Care Center, volunteering with both cats and dogs, with
major focus on coordinating the medical care of the shelter cats and networking
extensive with area vets and specialists, learning about diseases and
conditions and developing the ability to give medications.
I am familiar with many
of the common afflictions of both cats and dogs and am comfortable
administering medications. Two of my own
cats adopted from the shelter had special needs; one with eye issues and
another a paraplegic unable to use his back legs. Several of my dogs have had
the following conditions: heart disease, diabetes, seizure disorder and
pancreatitis all requiring daily medications either orally or by injection.
I bring to my pet
sitting not only this medical knowledge, but a lifelong empathy with animals
and a commitment to reliability and integrity.
